Alexander is a design manager and the art director of Morningstar magazine at Morningstar, Inc. in Chicago. He is also a contributor to Studiobema, a Chicago-based arts collaborative.
His personal design work has been exhibited at the Chicago Design Museum, the Business of Design Week - Hong Kong, and the Spertus Institute.
Alexander's type design for Matchsticks won the Communication Arts 2018 Typography Competition for identity, and his art direction of Morningstar magazine has won multiple Folio Magazine Ozzie Awards.
Throughout his career at Morningstar, Alexander has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including type design, presentation tools for financial professionals, information graphics and financial reports, marketing collateral, and the Morningstar Investment Conference. Since its initial launch in 2007, he has been a key member of the design team for Morningstar magazine.
